31 Fathoms™ is committed to providing high quality software products to the Dive Industry. Currently there is slated a suite of 4 products to meet various needs of Recreational and Professional Divers. 31 Fathoms™ Dive Tools is a basic set of mathematical tools for the Recreational Diver including a complete Gas Blender. Dive Tools is available at no cost through your local Dive Shop. 31 Fathoms™ Dive Log* will be a comprehensive Dive Logging application 31 Fathoms™ 31Pro* will be a comprehensive Dive Planning tool. 31 Fathoms™ Dive Shop* will be a complete Dive Shop operations and booking system with accounting integration. Dive Tools is a Microsoft Windows application designed to do some basic math often used by Divers. It is an excellent tool for new and experienced Divers to increase and renew knowledge of Dive Mathematics. Included are measurement conversions, volume and buoyancy calculations, RMV and pressure vs. altitude calculations as well as a robust gas blender with unique features. Dive Tools is a free application that is available from your local Dive Shop. The application is licensed for about one year, after which time you can go to your local Dive Shop's website and download the latest version. Dive Tools will always be available for free from those Dive Shops who subscribe to 31 Fathoms. The Conversions module provides a number of useful measurement translations useful for the Diver. It includes Linear, Volume, Weight (Mass), Velocity and Temperature conversions. Just enter what you have and the application will automatically convert the units without you pressing another key! The Volume and Buoyancy module offers the Diver numerical and visual representation of the relevant calculations. As with all modules of Dive Tools the user can choose units of measure and water density (Salt or Fresh) providing accurate results. There is also a tool that calculates how much pressure must be released from a given cylinder to achieve a specific displacement and a specific depth. A great tool for object recovery. The GAS and RMV Module is for calculations that are related primarily to Diver GAS usage. The RMV tool, as one might expect, calculates gas consumed in a given time allowing for better Dive planning. This module also performs a number of relevant calculations of gas, taking into consideration altitude, density and depth. This tool integrates with a Best Mix calculator for binary and ternary gas blends. Did you ever want a blender that allows you to completely control the O2% in the Top Mix, Fill mix as well as a the Helium Mix? Did you ever want a Blender that will automatically calculate the appropriate amount of GAS to be bled in order to obtain the correct mix? What if you could achieve the desired blend by increasing the desired pressure by only a couple of PSI instead of bleeding the tank thus saving valuable gas? Included with Dive Tools IS such a blender. Also integrated in this Nitrox, Heliox and Trimix blender is a Best Mix calculator. For reference, the blender also includes MOD, END, CNS and OTU calculations. You can also print out up to four saved blends at a time if your computer isn't near your blending station. The Blender Printout lists up to four blends as well as information specific to that blend such as MOD, END, OTU and CNS (if the appropriate required data is supplied) The Defaults screen allows you to customize the default characteristics of the application. You can specify Imperial or Metric, Salt or Fresh water, and specify default tank sizes for relevant calculations.Within the program you can access the Help File by clicking on the '?' button at any time. All functions of the application are included within the help file.
